Woke up early to go to Keukenhof. the main point of this Netherlands trip is to see TULIPS BLOOMING. grand finale i planned. and grand finale it was.
Started out raining and all.. abit sian diao since parks are nice when the sun is there... but the flowers still cheered me up! the place is like EXPENSIVE la. but worth every single cent. (not one cent more though~) the flowers were SO BEAUTIFUL.
BLOOMS. COLOURS. BEAUTIFUL.
if there's one place i can bring my dad to, this will be the one and only choice. he likes planting and likes taking pictures of them.. so where else?!?!
The sun came up after a while and i had such a nice peaceful stroll in the humongous park... together with swans and duckies in the lakes... PERFECT.
In the afternoon, i went to see the WINDMILLS!! Netherlands is supposedly the place for windmills and cheese and clogs but i din see anyone in Amsterdam... took a train to somewhere outside Ams... a place called Windmill Village...
Weather was glommy but windmills are still as nice. got the country side, back a few centuries kinda feeling... out of the cosmopolitan, back to nature. having this kinda refreshments once in a while is really quite inspirational. =)
While i was at the Windmill Village, i checked out one of the cheese shops.. and had such a yummy time trying out all the different cheese!! cow, goat, herbs, garlic, onion, chilli, coriender, blah blah blah... i try EVERYTHING!!! then in the end left the shop being 16.80eur short.
